This residence was designed by Masato Yanagi, one of Asahikawa’s most famous architects, and was built by Shimizugumi, a renowned Biei/Sapporo construction firm.  Yanagi-san spared no thought and detail to create a space that coexists with the surrounding nature allowing you to enjoy the passage of the seasons.

The building is made of reinforced concrete on the first floor, while the second floor is a mixed structure with timber and reinforced concrete. There is an elevator that goes between the floors. There is ample private outdoor space for relaxation or entertaining.

The main entrance opens to a well-lit tunnel that leads to a white birch forest. As you turn right, you come to the staircase that guides you to the 2nd floor living area.  The open dining and living room has panoramic views of the hills of Biei and Daisetzu National Park.  There is a recreation room on the 1st floor that is used as an exercise space and adventure gear storage.
